Vodafone Set To Offer eBay Access, Service Rollout Will Start In Italy
On the heels of its decision to offer MySpace access to mobile users, Vodafone has announced it will become the latest operator to make eBay available to mobile users. The service will be offered to users in Italy first and then be rolled out to other countries in Europe later this year, the operator said. The eBay application will be embedded onto “key consumer handsets” in future; it will also be available for download from the operator’s Vodafone Live! portal. Mobile operator 3, owned by Hutchison Whampoa, began offering eBay as part of its X-series package last year.
