Sprint Launches Faking Tool With Moderati

Sprint has launched a service by Moderati dubbed Mobile Faker which allows subscribers to “ditch bad dates, hand out fake numbers, get hip conversation starters and find the perfect pick-up line”, reports Wireless Week. The service costs $3.99 per month and allows people to receive fake calls with voice prompts so it appears to be a real conversation, fake numbers that send people to a voicemail service telling that they’re a loser and similar content. As RCR Wireless points out, this is not the first such service—there’s been a number of similar offerings over the past two years… As far as I’m aware this is the first such service on the deck of a major carrier.
