Simon & Schuster Imprint To Launch Mobile Book Excerpt Service

Simon Spotlight Entertainment, an imprint of book publisher Simon & Schuster, will launch a mobile book excerpt service in May, in association with MobileSidewalk. A select number of SSE’s current and forthcoming books appealing to the 18 to 34 year old demographic will form part of this service. The service will have SMS alerts, excerpts from books, cover art etc.
This will be a premium service. Of course, the big question: why would anyone want to buy a one imprint book promo service? No one cares about imprints, especially not in the 18-34 demo..they care about books (well, you know..)
