Scoopt Gets 600 Useless Photos

ScooptScooptthe picture agency set up to handle photos taken with mobile phones—apparently attracted 1,200 members in the space of a week and has already received 600 photos, none of which were saleable to news agencies. Founder Kyle MacRae said: “At the moment we are not approaching anybody until we have got the right picture.”
On the plus side, if we assume that a small number of people are sending in a lot of images it means that most of the people who signed up understand that most things they see are not news. (via Techdirt)
