Rugby World Cup Mobile/Online Rights Go Up For Grabs

The new media rights and services for 2007’s IRB Rugby World Cup have been put up for grabs with the launch of the tender process by Rugby World Cup Limited. The first tender is for the sale of the European mobile rights for the tournaments, including the chance to bid for a worldwide partnership package in the telecoms sector for Rugby World Cup 2007, to be held in September and October in France.
BrandRepublic: Matches will be streamed live on the internet and the winner of the mobile rights will be able to distribute highlights and other content to handsets.
