Mobile content and application firm Oasys Mobile has hired mobile industry veteran Doug Dyer as CEO. Dyer comes from a position as acting CEO and President of ROK Entertainment Group, and before that he was Vice-President of Wireless Entertainment for Warner Bros. Gary Ban, the previous CEO of Oasys, retired in October.
“The appointment of Dyer as CEO signifies the company’s return to its core strengths by concentrating on creating and enhancing new and existing game titles, mobile media applications, building stronger partnerships with Carriers and brand partners, while broadening distribution on a global level”, reads the press release.
Whatever his experience Dyer has his work cut out for him—Oasys released some pretty dismal Q3 figures and doesn’t have much time to turn itself around.
