Nokia is running a series of two day events to show mobile game developers the new Ngage system, reports PocketGamer. They were shown the software development kit for the first time, and also the features such as “track and manage”, which Pocketgamer interpreted as allowing for people to pass games to friends, who could then pay for the full version. The publishers that attended include: Disney, Sega Of America, Sony Online Entertainment, Universal, Square Enix, Capcom, THQ Wireless, Glu Mobile, Digital Chocolate, EA Mobile, Tecmo, Namco, Vivendi Games and first-party developers (firms developing games to be published by Nokia) including Backbone Entertainment and Foundation9. Nokia announced more than a year ago that it would be putting the Ngage system in a number of its multimedia handsets rather than trying another dedicated game handset, and it looks like it’s coming to fruition.
