HandsOn/Mforma Buys Mobile Community Firm Thumbspeed
This is the first acqusition HandsOn (fka MForma) has done in a long time now, after a flurry of acquisitions last year. It has bought out Bellevue, WA-based Thumbspeed. Founded in 2004, Thumbspeed specializes in mobile e-mail, IM and mobile blogging software. It has an R&D lab in India.
This comes as everyone’s speculated that HandsOn will IPO later this year.
