Cingular and Rave Wireless are teaming up to offer special content and services to students at colleges and universities. The pilot project will be at Eastern Michigan University (EMU) this fall, with select students being provided with Sony Ericsson mobile phones pre-loaded with Rave applications, running on Cingular’s EDGE wireless data network.
“The program allows EMU students to participate in group text messaging, receive university and class alerts, and access university services such as email, the course management platform, and staff directories all from their preferred communications device, the mobile phone.”
