Chinese Firm Sun 3C Media Buys Upstart Games For $15.25 Million

Chinese online media and commerce firm Sun 3C Media, listed on London’s AIM market, has bought out Upstart Games, a privately-held publisher of mobile games based in Dublin, Ireland, for a total of about $15.25 million, in a mixture of shares and cash.
With this acquisition, Sun 3C will use its content rights to Chinese media brands to develop mobile content services both within China and globally, the company says. For last year 2005, Upstart’s unaudited accounts reported a loss before taxation of Euro 170,192 on revenue of Euro 2,023,256, the companies said. More details in the release here.
