China’s Baidu Enters Into Agreement With Nokia For Mobile Search

Chinese search engine Baidu.com and leading handset maker Nokia have entered into a collaboration for mobile search for Chinese-speaking markets like mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The Baidu search application will be available on select devices like Nokia N70, N90 and S60 which will sport a search icon on the screen interface. The phone users will able to search for information online and to connect with Baidu online communities via wireless connections.
Four of Baidu’s most popular services, including Web Search, News Search, Image Search and Baidu Post Bar, a “popular query based community” invented by Baidu, are provided in this application. The financial terms of the deal are not revealed.
