Amp’d Mobile Partners with Medio Systems For Mobile Search
Amp’d Mobile, a long-time customer of white-label search provider Fast, has tied-up with Medio Systems for a new service. The service, slated to launch in 1Q 2007, will focus on delivering users personalized and predictive search and access to mobile content in two clicks or less. According to Amp’d, Medio’s search capability combined with its Amazon.com-like recommendation technology and techniques will help users find the right content – even before they ask for it.
Mike McSherry, SVP of emerging technologies for Amp’s said that the average Amp’d user pays $30 per month for content and data, and 60% of that goes for content purchases. (The industry averages US$6.80 for data, and 25% of that is usually content-driven revenue, he said.)
