John Cook over at Seattle PI’s blog writes about a stealth mobile startup called Pelago, started by Jeffrey Holden, who spent nearly a decade at Amazon holding positions such as senior VP of consumer applications and director of supply chain systems. The startup is “founder-funded” as the website says.
John couldn’t find what the company was about, but I did a USPTO trademark search and found out that it is a mobile social network (what else, these days?)..the filing says this: “Social networking applications on mobile and fixed computing devices enabling users to locate and interact with other users and groups sharing similar interests or locations; providing mobile and fixed software applications to render voice, data, images, and messages regarding points of interest, entertainment and education venues and events, civic events and commercial establishments and individuals; providing a website featuring information on points of interest, entertainment and education venues and events, civic events and commercial establishments and individuals”
