Xinhua Buys Into Chinese Mobile Market Via Beijing Mobile Interactive; $10M

Xinhua Finance Media (XFMedia) (Nasdaq: XFML), a diversified financial and entertainment media company, has signed an agreement to buy Beijing Mobile Interactive (M-in) for US$10 million in cash. M-in has services covering WAP, SMS, MMS, interactive voice response (IVR), Java apps and ringback tones on the top four carriers in China…products include online games, text messaging voting, ring tone and wallpaper downloads. XFMedia plans to integrated M-in’s mobile capabilities into its existing media services, including SMS voting on TV shows and interactivity with radio and print efforts. (release)
