Wireless Messenger EnvIO Networks Gets $10 Million Second Round

EnvIO Networks, a stealth company developing a “new category of mobile application”, has raised a $10 million second round from Matrix Partners and North Bridge Venture Partners, reports peHUB. The company’s first round was reportedly for $7 million, bringing its total to $17 million. As the Andover, MA-based company remains in stealth mode, it’s not clear what they’re cooking up. It appears to have something to do with wireless messaging, as well as a content management solution, and the website reaches a hand out to wireless operators, so it’s probably not consumer facing. CEO Prakash R. Iyer previously led product development on push-to-talk at Motorola.
