Verizon Adds CBS Programming To Wireless, FiOS Services

imageFollowing CBS’ expansion of its TV.com site, the network says it has struck a deal with Verizon (NYSE: VZ) that will add its programming to the carrier’s mobile V Cast and FiOS TV platform. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Other specifics, such as the length of the contract, the two signed weren’t released either, though CBS Corp (NYSE: CBS). CEO Les Moonves described the arrangement as “long-term” in a statement. As part of the agreement, Verizon has VOD rights to CBS shows, like 60 Minutes, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Survivor (pictured). FiOS TV is currently available in 14 states. As for VCast, which has already been running a sampling of CBS programming, the new pact allows for full-length shows on mobile devices within Verizon’s network. Release
