Useful Networks Acquires KnowledgeWhere For Location-Based Games And Ads

Useful Networks, the Liberty Media-owned provider of location-based services, has acquired Calgary-based KnowledgeWhere, a developer of location-based games and advertising. Terms of the acquisition were not announced. In the announcement Useful Networks didn’t offer any specifics on post-acquisition plans, except that the KnowledgeWhere services made sense as part of the company’s overall portfolio of location-based products. KnowledgeWhere has taken one unspecified funding round from BDC Venture Capital. Release.
