Universal Music Group Joins Dada; Promoting Latin Artists On Spanish-Language Flycell

imageUniversal Music Group’s catalog is now available as DRM-free full-track MP3s and ringtones to Dada Entertainment customers. Dada, which is a year-old joint venture between Dada and Sony (NYSE: SNE) Music Entertainment, will also get access to exclusive tracks from Universal artists Xtreme later this month.  With Universal Music Group on board, The DRM-free ringtone and full track subscription distributor has added the largest record label’s catalog to its existing Sony catalog. UMG is also working with Flycell to promote its Latin music artists on a new Spanish-language version of the ringtone and wallpaper aggregator’s service. UMG will be highlighting its Latin music artists on the separate site just in time for the tail end of Hispanic Heritage Month. The new site will also feature exclusive voice tones and shout-outs from UMG artists. Release.
