Ukrainians Use Opera Mini More Than Apple Safari

In the last three weeks the three different versions of the Opera Mini mobile web browser took 0.3 percent of the Ukrainian web browser market, edging out Safari on 0.2 percent (wlthough far behind IE, Opera desktop and Mozilla Firefox) reports IDG. This isn’t really big news except that it is apparently the first time “Opera Mini has infiltrated desktop browser rankings in a European country”. So the mobile web is starting to take off, at least in some places…Opera Mini has about 13 million users worldwide, most popular in Russia, the Ukraine, the U.S., South Africa and China.
