Two Mobile Marketing Companies Converge: Adenyo Acquires MoVoxx

Toronto-based Adenyo has acquired Santa Monica, Calif.-based MoVoxx. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but all MoVoxx employees will join Adenyo.

Adenyo is a mobile marketing software company that helps brands and carriers in North American and Europe implement advertising campaigns on smartphones. MoVoxx helps serve ads into mobile content in the U.S. to mostly feature phones. Together, the two will be able to provide an advertising network that spans both types of phones in a handful of ad formats, including SMS, applications and mobile display banners.

MoVoxx, which was founded in 2006, raised an undisclosed first round of in 2008. Its backers included Greycroft Partners, Khosla Ventures, First Round Capital and BV Capital. In March, Adenyo raised $26.9 million led by Genuity Capital Markets.
