The iPhone Wrap: Apple’s New Radio App; Multi-Tasking Dreaming; App Store Complaints
Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) is working on iPhone radio app: Apple is developing its own iPhone radio.app, according to a tip sent to 9to5mac.com. The app will operate in the background and will be like a FM radio, which is already available on the new iPod Nanos.
What iPhone multi-tasking for iPhone should look like: Up until now, multi-tasking hasn’t been available on the iPhone, meaning you can’t flip between an email and a Facebook session without opening and closing the two apps. Well, someone has an idea for the way it should work when, and if, Apple decides to do anything about it. [Gizmodo]
Another App Store complaint: Cerulean Studios, which makes the Trillian service that makes various instant-messenger platforms interoperable, has written a blog post saying that it has been 60 days since they have submitted their iPhone app for review. They say they haven’t been rejected, but they also haven’t received a status update at all. “As developers, we absolutely understand and appreciate Apple’s need to quality control applications – including the need for additional review time when warranted – but being kept in the dark for two months is a strange way to accomplish this.” [Cerulean Studios]
