T-Mobile USA Hit With Yet Another Class Action Over Texting

T-Mobile USA has been hit with a new class action lawsuit over unwanted text messaging, reports RCRNews.com. The suit is similar to one brought against the operator in January, and is in fact, being handled by the same law firms, but with a new set of plaintiffs. The complaint alleges that T-mobile forced customers to use text-enabled handsets then charged them for unwanted text messages, without informing customers. It also noted that the operator did not allow customers to turn text messaging off, or block text messages to avoid being charged for them. (T-Mobile now allows customers to do this).

Its the most absurd thing i have ever heard that Americans have to pay for incoming calls and texts. Why should the receiver of calls and text have to pay. That’s plain silly. I live in Ireland and own a cell phone but if i was charged for incoming calls or texts i would discard the phone immediately.
