T-Mobile says that sites like Bebo, MySpace and Facebook are driving mobile media usage in the UK, and currently eight social networking portals feature in the top 20 most visited sites from T-Mobile devices, writes Mobile Entertainment. The mobile operator also says that while the majority of users were around the 40 year-old mark, now it is finally starting to get a majority of users from the 25-35 age group.

T-Mobile has been furiously pushing usage of its Web’n'walk mobile Internet service and is predicting that 1 million people will be using it by the end of this year. The company offers the service as a monthly flat-rate option for 7.50 pounds (US$15.43) for contract customers, or as a daily flat rate of 1 pound (US$2) for contract or pay-as-you-go users. Separately, T-Mobile’s Dutch subsidiary has now also launched a daily flat-rate service at a rate of 2.50 euros (US$3.45).
