T-Mobile Germany To Sell iPhone Starting At One Euro
It won’t be free as its being offered in the UK, but the iPhone will go for as little as 1 euro ($1.54) in Germany to consumers signing on to T-Mobile for a two-year contract, reports Bloomberg. Depending on the customer’s service plan, the 8 gigabyte 3G iPhone will start at 1 euro and reach 169.95 euros ($263), while the 16 gigabyte version will cost from 19.95 euros ($31) to 249.95 euros ($388). The German operator hasn’t revealed its complete list of prices, but said that the monthly contract for a 1 euro iPhone would be at least 69 euros ($107). T-Mobile’s German head Philipp Humm said the operator was hoping to boost mobile web usage with the new iPhone. The phone will be available in Germany on July 11.
