T-Mobile, AT&T And Starbucks Resolve Wi-Fi Dispute
Starbucks, AT&T (NYSE: T) and T-Mobile reached an agreement, putting to rest a week-old lawsuit filed by T-Mobile that alleged that AT&T and Starbucks were not abiding by an agreement the three companies had over how Starbucks should transfer its Wi-Fi network to AT&T from T-Mobile, Reuters is reporting. “T-Mobile, AT&T and Starbucks have entered into a memorandum of understanding to resolve their disputes and are committed to providing a high quality Wi-Fi experience for customers,” Starbucks spokeswoman Stacey Krum said in the statement. The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, but Reuters confirmed the agreement with AT&T and T-Mobile. No word on whether T-Mobile would receive any damages it was seeking for breach of contract and unfair competition, but it probably goes beyond giving all T-Mobile employees two free hours of Wi-Fi access while at a Starbucks.
