Sprint Reseller Consolidation: Platinum Wireless Acquires MMM Wireless

Sprint distributor and retailer Platinum Wireless has acquired fellow re-seller MMM Wireless. Financial details were not disclosed. The deal bulks up Platinum Wireless’ network of branded stores from four to 22, as MMM Wireless’ locations will be rebranded. MMM Wireless President Jim Radack will join Platinum Wireless as its new SVP of sales.

This is Platinum Wireless’ third acquisition in two years; the company bought out American Connections and Simplicity Wireless in 2007. Founded in 1997, by Jeff Javidzad, former CFO of Cellular Palace, and Baze Melamed, L.A.-based Platinum Wireless now has locations in California, Arizona, Colorado and Nevada. The company offers both sales and customer service training, as well as a digital distribution platform for prepaid content and inventory called PayGo. Release.
