Sprint Nextel Adjusts Music & Video Services; Drops Sirius

Sprint Nextel is making changes to its mobile music and video services next month, reports RCRNews. In a billing insert to customers Sprint said it will “drop its Sirius Hits streaming music service in favor of 10 genre-based channels of mobile music. The carrier also said it plans to expand its basic Sprint TV service, adding content from CNN, The Weather Channel, E!, NFL Network and Fox Sports”. This comes after the company has also said it won’t be launching a MediaFLO service. That could be a chance for Modeo, but it’s more likely a bet on WiMax.
