Sport1/Chellomedia Buys Dutch Mobile Sports Site Sportsplaza

Digital broadcaster Sport1, part of Chellomedia (Chellomedia is the European based content division of Liberty Global), has taken over mobile sports site Sportsplaza from sports info company Infostrada Sports. The terms were not disclosed. Sportsplaza says it is the leading mobile site for sport in The Netherlands and Belgium. The sites covers more than 60 sports with news, photos, live-scores, results and videos. Sportsplaza is also currently the holder of the mobile rights for the Dutch Eredivisie, the football league.
