Sony To Enter Mobile Games Market In Europe

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) is reportedly planning to move into mobile games and has hired former THQ Wireless executive Balbir Blugan as its head of mobile business development. This is the company that is responsible for software development, sales and distribution for the PlayStation consoles in Europe, and PocketGamer reports that games like This Is Football, The Getaway and Primal are due to be ported to mobile. Sony might develop its own games, or it might partner with a mobile game developer. PocketGamer also ponders the possibility of a PlayStation phone by Sony Ericsson, which would certainly fit with the companies business model…
