Samsung Launches Mobile Music Site In Europe
Samsung has partnered with MusicNet to launch a music download and subscription service in the UK, France and Germany. The service will use the Samsung Media Studio (SMS) application and will ship on Samsung’s K3, K5, and T9 music handsets reports Digital Trends. A software update will offer the service to some other Samsung handsets. The subscription service allows unlimited downloads and listens as long as the subscription is valid—if people want to own the songs they will also be able to purchase individual tracks. Monthly subscriptions will cost €14.99 (US$20.42) in Germany and France, and £10.25 (US$20.61) in the UK; individual track prices will start at €1.15 (US$1.57), or 0.79p (US$1.59) in the UK. Samsung plans a “marketing blitz” to promote the new handsets and the new service
