Rok Entertainment Group, which offers mobile TV, video, conference calling and other services, has taken a 51 percent controlling stake in British laptop manufacturer Rock for an undisclosed amount. The companies are billing this as a play on the convergence of mobile devices and notebook PCs, while Rok says it sees Rock’s early-adopter customer base as an ideal target for its services and applications. Rok’s been an active company of late, going public on the OTC Bulletin Board through a reverse merger and most recently buying Fun Little Movies, a mobile video content developer. (Release)
