IDG has a piece on Qualcomm’s efforts in the mobile TV market, focussing on its 3GSM announcement that it was launching chips that support DVB-H and DMB as well as MediaFLO, and also one that supports MBMS.
One interesting comment about Qualcomm’s international potential: “If regulators initially showed more support for DVB-H, “they are more neutral today” and willing to consider alternative technologies such as MediaFlo,” according to Andrew Gilbert, president of Qualcomm Europe.
