Qik Parent Visivo Raises $3 Million Second Round
Visivo, the company behind mobile live streamer Qik, has raised a $3 million second round from MBQI, according to VentureBeat. The Foster City, CA-based start-up hasn’t announced its first round. Funding will likely to go to build out the Qik service, which has become popular for its ability to capture and stream a video feed from a high-end handset. Among the competitors in this increasingly hot space are Kyte and Ustream.
Staci adds: Robert Scoble probably should get a commission for spreading the word about Qik. You may recognize someone in this recent Qik video.
