Opera Mini Sees Usage Spike 157 Percent

imageOpera Mini has seen a surge in usage, with more than 23 million people using the mobile browser in March—a 12.1 percent increase from February and a 157 percent increase year-on-year. People using Opera Mini viewed more than 8.6 billion pages in march, and page views increased by 17.4 percent over the previous month and 255 percent year-on-year. Opera Mini served 148 MB of data to handsets worldwide, after compressing it an average of 90 percent, and data traffic is up 319 percent.
