Online/Mobile Video Firm Kyte.tv Gets Investment From Swisscom, Others

Online and mobile video sharing and personal broadcasting firm Kyte.tv, which recently got launched amidst lotsa hype, has received more investment from Swiss telecom firm Swisscom and Holtzbrinck Ventures, the German media VC firm. The funding also includes Klaus Hommels, Oliver Jung, and Peter Schupbach, all angel investors in Europe. The funding amount was not disclosed.

The San Francisco-based company had received about $2.25 million previously from Atomico (co-founded by Niklas Zennstrom), Draper Fisher Jurveston, Draper Richards, and Ron Conway. Swisscom Mobile will start offering kyte.tv to its subscribers, the company’s first operator deal. Kyte.tv’s service can be accessed on mobile, PC, and eventually on TV.
