Nokia/Navteq To Get EU Green Light: Report; TomTom/Tele Atlas Complete
Some news on a pair of related acquisitions… Nokia’s (NYSE: NOK) $8.1 billion proposed acquisition of Navteq is unlikely to get objection from the EU, reports Reuters. Back in March, there had been some talk that the tie-up would receive heightened scrutiny, but apparently the time has passed for the EU to deliver a formal statement of objections. The official deadline to have this wrapped up is August, 8.

—TomTom-Tele Atlas: It’s done. TomTom said in a statement that 97.48 percent have been tend. As soon as legally possible, Tele Atlas shares will cease trading, as remaining shareholders are squeezed out. Release.
