Motorola Ventures Invests In VirtualLogix
Motorola Ventures has made an equity investment in VirtualLogix; no amount disclosed. VirtualLogix makes virtualization systems for communication devices, which Motorola (NYSE: MOT) sees as a solution to the complex problem of allowing dynamic mobile experiences across multiple platforms. Motorola Ventures expects its investment to accelerate the delivery of VirtualLogix’s technology—no mention is made of Motorola getting exclusive access or anything like that. VirtualLogix has previously raised $28 million in two rounds of funding from Atlas Venture, Cisco Systems (NSDQ: CSCO), DFJ Esprit, Index Ventures, Intel (NSDQ: INTC) Capital and Texas Instruments.
