Analysts said today that Motorola (NYSE: MOT) may ship up to 900,000 phones in the fourth quarter and meet its earnings outlook, AP reports.

That’s good news for the company that is under immense pressure to turn things around and is placing a big bet on the Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Android platform. As for which devices are performing well, Oppenheimer analyst Ittai Kidron suspects the Droid is meeting expectations, but the Cliq is falling behind due to problems with battery life. However, the less-than-stellar performance is not expected to hurt earnings.

Kidron said Motorola may ship up to 900,000 phones and expects the company to meet its outlook of 7 cents to 9 cents in earnings. On average, analysts expect 8 cents per share, according to Thomson Reuters.
