Motorola Invests In Mobile Payments Firm VivOtech
Motorola (NYSE: MOT) has invested an undisclosed amount into mobile payments firm VivOtech via its Motorola Ventures VC arm. VivOtech has being saying for some time that a Fortune 500 company was part of its investment group, and Motorola could be that company suggests Alarm:Clock. Other investors include First Data Corporation, NCR, Nokia, (NYSE: NOK) Alloy Ventures, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, DFJ Gotham Ventures, and Miven Venture Partners. VivOtech raised $22.5 million in third round funding in August.
