Motorola And Paramount Building Online Movie Store

Motorola (NYSE: MOT) and Paramount are building an online store for downloading films to mobile phones, reports NMA.co.uk, citing an unnamed Paramount source. The site is expected to launch at the end of May and will rely on sideloading technology, in which users first download content to their PCs and then onto their mobiles. Motorola is said to be in discussions with other movie studios on licensing content for the store. The handset maker has experimented with full-length films on mobile before. In June last year, it rolled out the Moto Z8 with a pre-loaded, full length version of the Bourne Identity. Later this month in the UK, the Z10 will be launched pre-loaded with the Ultimate Bourne Collection.
