MobiTV Founder Starting New Stealth Company, Called Stealth Tail (Yes!)

Dr. Phillip Alvelda, the founder of MobiTV, who stepped down as CEO in 2007, is now starting his own stealth mobile company, stealthily called, well, Stealth Tail, we have learned. It will of course have a proper name once the company gets formalized. I am assuming it is in the video field, where Alveda has experience and lineage prior to MobiTV as well, including being a scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (his bio here). The company has raised some seed funding as well. That’s all we know for now.

Meawhile, what’s happening with MobiTV? Personally I have been skeptical of their 7 million plus subscriber numbers, and especially the usage out of those subscribers, if true.
