Mobile Video Company Vantrix Raises $3.2 Million
Montreal-based Vantrix, which helps optimize content and video for wireless and other broadband networks, has raised $3.2 million in a new round of capital. Investors in the round include: Summerhill Venture Partners, JK&B Capital, BDC Capital, Innovacom and Entrepia Ventures.
The company confirmed the new round today, however, it was first reported in a document filed with the SEC. In a statement, Allan Benchetrit, Vantrix’s President and CEO, said: “The company has built significant momentum in signing 30 new operator deals worldwide in the last 18 months, and will use this funding as working capital to support its drive towards profitability.”
In Sept. 2007, the company raised $12 million in its second round of funding.
