Mobile Video Advertiser GoldSpot Media Raises $3 Million First Round

Sunnyvale, CA-based GoldSpot Media, a startup that inserts ads into mobile TV broadcasts, has raised a $3 million first round from Exa Ventures. The company says it can deliver non-intrusive, targeted advertising content into broadcast and streaming mobile video. Founder and CEO Srini Dharmaji was previously a consultant to Virgin Mobile (NYSE: VM) on device management and video streaming. Release.
