This is quite a win for geo-location and mobile social net GyPsii. Its owner, the Finnish-Dutch company GeoCentric, announced today it had struck a multi-year distribution deal with Samsung which will see its mobile app bundled on a number of its phones, starting with the Omnia (SGH-i900) and SGH-i780. The two companies will split the ad revenue generated from all GyPsii applications on Samsung handsets. GyPSii lets people upload pictures, videos and sound clips recorded with their phone and automatically encoded with the location where the content was created, as well as see where their friends are. The company struck a similar distribution deal with Nokia (NYSE: NOK) last November. (Release).
