Mobile Enterprise Company Zenprise Raises $9 Million

Zenprise has raised an additional $9 million to expand sales and marketing efforts and invest in research and development surrounding its device management software used by companies to juggle the increase of smartphones among their employee base.

The round was led by Menlo Park-based Rembrandt Venture Partners with participation from existing investors, including Ignition Partners, Bay Partners, Mayfield and Shasta Ventures. This funding is part of a fourth round of funding raised a year ago. To date, the Fremont, Calif.-based company has raised a total of $40 million.

Zenprise also said today that its revenue has grown 110 percent every year between 2007 and 2009, and that first quarter revenues jumped 175 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Zenprise lists more than 300 companies as customers, including Comcast (NSDQ: CMCSA), Boeing, Shook Hardy & Bacon, Varian Medical Systems and Vodafone.
