Norway-based mobile and online content DRM vendor BeepScience has been quietly bought by US security technology company SafeNet, reports DRM Watch. The deal terms were not disclosed. Beep Science’s client and server technology for OMA DRM will complement SafeNet’s existing DRM server software business, which it acquired from DMDSecure in 2005. Safenet also bought anti-piracy software firm Mediasentry in 2005.
