Mobile Developer Community Site GetJar Gets Funding From Accel

GetJar, the London-based mobile application distribution and developer community, has closed its first round of funding, from Accel Partners. The amount was undisclosed. Founded by CEO, Ilja Laurs, in Lithuania in 2004, the company has recently relocated its headquarters to London. The company said the site has received over 100 million downloads from the site in two years, and currently averaging over 8 million downloads per month. More in release here.
