Napster (NSDQ: NAPS) Mobile on AT&T: Napster Mobile has struck a deal with AT&T (NYSE: T) in which the application will be made available to 25 smartphones that the operator sells. AT&T customers can buy and wirelessly download full-length tracks from Napster Mobile for $1.99 each, which includes a copy that is automatically delivered to the customer’s PC. Napster Mobile is also available for a $7.49 monthly subscription, which includes five song downloads per month. Charges for downloads are billed to customers’ AT&T wireless account, unless the subscriber has an inclusive data plan (release).

Sprint-NFL tie-up: Can live sports drive consumers to watch mobile TV? Sprint (NYSE: S) announced today that it will offer live NFL game telecasts starting November 6 when the Cleveland Browns play against the Denver Broncos, the first game in the NFL Network’s eight-game schedule. Sprint will be the only wireless carrier to offer the NFL Network games which can be accessed through its NFL Mobile Live application as well as on Sprint TV. Both the application and Sprint TV is free to its data subscribers. NFL Mobile Live also offers additional content, including breaking news, schedules, statistics, VOD game previews, highlights and analysis. The live football games have proved a hit with fans. Sprint reports that NFL Mobile Live is the most-downloaded application for a weekend in the operator’s history, and has set a company record for the highest number of downloads in a single day—September 7—the first Sunday of the NFL season. (release).

EA Mobile on Android: EA Mobile has announced three games for the Android platform. The mobile arm of the games publisher Electronic Arts (NSDQ: ERTS) has released Tetris, with Bejeweled and Monopoly Here & Now to be launched in November. All three games will be available in the United States (release).

Buongiorno’s Blinko launches: Italian mobile content provider Buongiorno (BIT: BNG) has launched its mobile-only social network Blinko, previously in beta, and has some ambitious plans for it, hoping that it will be “one of the top three brands in 10 countries,” according to the release. Chairman and founder Mauro Del Rio seems not to realize he has quite a bit of competition though. In statement, he said that, “Up to now, [social networking] has only been available on the fixed internet…” Maybe he’s been too busy with the roll out so hasn’t noticed that not only are MySpace, Facebook and Bebo all available on the mobile, but there are quite a number of mobile-only competitors, including mocoSpace, mobikade, itsmy, Peperoni, and BuzzCity among others. Still, Buongiorno is hoping its history as a mobile player, as well as its contacts with carriers around the world, and its content offering will help separate it from the crowd (release).
