—Best Buy launches airport kiosks: Best Buy said today it will install 12 vending machines in U.S. airports as part of a pilot project. The so-called Best Buy Express kiosks will sell electronics. Release. Cnet’s Crave site reported that some of the products will include media players, unlocked cell phones, digital cameras, portable gaming devices, plenty of chargers, flash drives and other storage, cell phone and computer accessories, headphones and Best Buy gift cards. Airports include: Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and San Francisco.

—Verizon gets visual: Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ) said it will start offering Visual Voice Mail, an application that lets customers manage their voice mail on their phones, a la AT&T’s (NYSE: T) iPhone. For now, it’s available on LG’s (SEO: 066570) Voyager and lets customers view voice mail messages, and delete, reply and forward their voice mail messages without having to listen to voice instructions. The service was developed by Alcatel-Lucent and Comverse and is $2.99 a month.

—Nokia launches beta email: On Friday, Nokia launched a beta email service, based on its acquisition of Intellisync, at email.nokia.com. The service supports email accounts, such as Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Gmail, but left off Hotmail and corporate email from the list. It’s free for a limited time—although data charges apply, and after the trial ends, users will have to purchase a subscription.

—Metacafe goes mobile: Metacafe, an online video site, said it has picked Quattro Wireless to make its catalog of short-form videos available on mobile devices. Quattro will sell and serve mobile ads for Metacafe.
