Mobile Content Bits: MoVoxx; Imeem; NYT; Moto Gestures; NBC On Flo; Stitcher; GyPSii; Hyatt

imageMoVoxx Payments: SMS advertising company MoVoxx has signed a deal with Billing Revolution to insert a payment mechnism into its ads. Mobile users who see the ad can click on it, enter their credit card information, and then purchase the good or service.

Imeem On iPhone: Imeem has launched its social music service on the iPhone as a free app. It lets people listen to their personal music that they’ve uploaded to Imeem.com (the company gets its revenue by charging people to store large amounts of music), search for favorite bands and create stations based on them, and buy from iTunes. The service is already on Android. There’s a hands-on review at CNet.

New York Times: The NYT is considering various models of charging for its online content, reports the New York Observer, and it’s likely that any payment system will hit mobile first.

Motorola’s Gesture Phone: Motorola (NYSE: MOT) has announced the Motorola W7 Active Edition, a gesture-based handset. “You can flip the phone over to shut up an incoming call, snooze the alarm clock, or put the music on pause. You can shake it twice to launch a favorite application, and you can flick the phone right or left to browse through your media library,” notes CNet.

NBC On Flo: NBC has signed a deal with FloTV to screen the NBC Sports Championship Season, which ties together seven championships broadcast by NBC Sports over a 65-day period between May 2 and July 5. That includes: The Kentucky Derby – May 2; The Preakness – May 16; The French Open – May 30-31 & June 6-7; The Stanley Cup Playoffs – Starting June 6; The U.S. Open – June 18-21; and Wimbledon – June 27-July 5.

Stitcher On Blackberry: Stitcher has announced a free app in Blackberry’s App World for the Bold and Curve. Stitcher streams on-demand news, audio shows and podcasts to mobile devices requiring no syncing or wires, and has been on the iPhone for several months.

GyPSii On IPhone: GyPSii has launched its service on the iPhone, to let people “live capture” their life. That includes writing about their experiences on-the-go, marking the GPS location they’re visiting and uploading related images, audio and text. There are controls for how much you want to share, and friends can comment on each other’s content.

Hyatt Mobile: Hyatt has launched a mobile service at Hyatt2go.com. Created by Usablenet it lets users find and book a hotel by location, access special offers, view or cancel a reservation, read travel tips by country, and check in and out on the web.
